BOOKLETS
Booklets are a suitable and affordable method of binding up to 100 pages of 80gsm paper plus a heavy weight cover. Above 100 pages runs the risk of the staples pulling out as the spine is just too thick, perfect binding is more suitable for thicker documents. Our Duplo booklet maker produces professional looking booklets in A5 through to A4 finished size with edges trimmed automatically.
PERFECT BINDING
Perfect binding is more suitable for larger books and where a higher standard of finish is required. This method serates the book block pages, the block is then glued into the spine which is creased 4 times and the edges trimmed. This method is most commonly used in paperback books and higher quality magazines. We recommend this method for most books where a higher level of wear and tear may be found, such as novels and school text books for example. Our Duplo perfect binding machine automatically produces high quality bound books with automatic creasing of the covers and assembly of the finished book.
SPIRAL BINDING - WIRE AND PLASTIC
A commonly used binding method, quick and easy for documents and manuals. This method can be used for thick document with spines of up to 50mm for plastic and 30mm for wire. Wire and plastic binding are similar but the wire gives more strength and has a more professional look to it.
THERMAL BINDING
Thermal binding is usually used for one off type documents such as CV's where a high quality finished item is required at a reasonable cost
FOLDING
We can fold to all the common formats using our Duplo folding machine, including gloss papers and up 200gsm. Just specify your folding preference and it will be included in your quote.
